About this payment method
EntroPay was actually three services in one. You had the standard e-wallet functionality for adding funds, making transfers and withdrawing funds back to your bank account. More commonly used however was the Prepaid Virtual Visa, which was their online prepaid card that worked very much like an e-wallet but was accepted at any merchant that also accepted Visa. There was also a plastic prepaid MasterCard, that you could use to make purchases in physical stores as well as online sites that accept MasterCard.
Topping up your balance
You needed to have funds in your EntroPay account in order to use any of the three payment services. You could add funds to your account by using a credit/debit card in your name or by direct bank transfer. Using the credit/debit card option was the quickest way to top up, but there was a 4.95% service fee involved. The bank transfer option was free, but the money would take a few days to appear in your account.
EntroPay as an Online Casino Deposit option
EntroPay was super easy to use at an online casino. All you had to do was to head on over to the cashier, choose this deposit option and complete the transaction. If the casino didn’t accept them as a deposit method, you could try using the virtual or physical prepaid card to deposit instead of entering the card details, just as if using a normal credit card.
Making a withdrawal
Online casinos that used to accept EntroPay would also allow you to make withdrawals back to the same account without a problem.
If you wanted to withdraw money from your EntroPay account you would be able to do a normal bank transfer. If you had the physical MasterCard you would also be able to withdraw funds from a normal ATM that accepts MasterCard.
Why you should use EntroPay
For Canadians enjoying online casinos, EntroPay might have been one of the most flexible transaction methods on the market, both for deposits and withdrawals. Since you could use your account as both an e-wallet and a prepaid card, the number of casinos where you could make use of it was vast.
However, as mentioned before, Entropay has ceased its services, and you can no longer use this option for payments at casinos, or elsewhere.
Why EntroPay might not be for you
There wasn’t really much to complain about when it came to using EntroPay, besides the fact that maybe that not all casinos would offer the method directly. Meaning you would be able to use the card options for deposits, but for withdrawals, you would need to use a different method. Another option for you to use now is EcoPayz, which in many ways is a similar payment method.
