It’s no secret that there was some concern following the collision in Barcelona. Ferrari drivers Charles Leclerc and Sebastian Vettel, two of the most notorious drivers in Formula 1 racing, have been making international headlines following the disastrous collision which threw them out of the second to last race of the Formula 1 season.
The Ferrari team and team boss, MattiaBinotto, have spoken with the media and ‘cleared the air’ so to speak. Binotto addressed the press and told reporters that after the race at Interlagos Barcelona, the drivers will review the issues that presented themselves at the Maranello factory. The review and investigation into the occurrence that left not one, but two Ferrari drives out of the final race, will prevent any futuristic events of the same nature from happening again and in turn improve the design of the brand.
According to a spokeswoman for Ferrari, Ferrari boss Mattia Binotto has been interacting with the drivers on a daily basis to resolve any issues that may occur in the future. There has been no video conference but rather a face to face meeting from day to day, as the team usually does.
According to sources, Ferrari has resolved any issues and set supporters' minds to ease. The team is in full preparation for the upcoming race in Abu Dhabi. Any defects have been resolved and the same ‘silly’ mistakes made on the day of the event in Barcelona have been taken care of ensuring the same occurrence is avoided at all costs. This is according to Mattia.
For those who hadn’t had the opportunity to watch the race in Barcelona, it was a thrilling one indeed. The nail-biting event occurred just before the final lap and involved four-time world champion Sebastian Vettel and young buck pro driver Charles Leclerc. The two drivers have been fighting to get Ferrari in the lead and according to Ferrari boss it was simply a silly mistake, and one that cost the team.
The final race of the season is held in Abu Dhabi’s Yas Marina at the end of November. Mercedes has been winning the races for over 6 seasons now and this would be their second championship making this the seventh season win. Lewis Hamilton has been making sensational news headlines having won his 6th title in Texas in November 2019.
The upcoming race which takes place on the 1st of December is the final race which will deliver the champion of Formula 1 and it is assumed that Mercedes will win the championship.
It is only a matter of time before supporters get to see if Mercedes takes the win and Ferrari takes second place or if they will miraculously take the lead over Mercedes. Needless to say, supporters are all breathing a united sigh of relief following the assurances from Ferrari that the collision that occurred in Barcelona would not happen again.
