Gold Stevie Award for Paysafe

In breaking news, the Paysafe Group’s Canadian Human Resource department has won a Stevie Award, which is a prestigious international business award. The Canadian global payment provider won the ‘Gold’ award for ‘Achievement in Benefits Design and Administration’.

Paysafe HR Department’s Initiatives

The 2019 awards ceremony for outstanding employers was held at the New York Marriot Marquis Hotel recently, on September 20th, 2019. Paysafe has about 600 Canadian employees across 3 offices in Canada, and its 14 people strong HR department who are based in Montreal and Calgary have supported their team through the ever-growing spurt the company has been experiencing.

Medical Fund

One of the new initiatives includes a versatile health and dental plan provided by a new technologically advanced health fund that is supported by a mobile app.

Retirement Plan

In addition to a new medical fund, Paysafe’s HR group has also come up with an updated and much-improved retirement scheme that sees the company contributing more towards their employees' retirement fund, giving them a wider scope of investment choices.

Health and Wellness

To further improve the working conditions and give their employees a great working environment, the HR team has also put together a wide range of activities such as a book club, running club, spinning classes and wholesome catered lunches. They also plan to hold a Wellness Week twice yearly, to further promote the importance of keeping fit and staying healthy.

Diversity and Inclusion

D&I is a strategy used by many forward-thinking HR people which takes a look at what makes people who they are, their personality traits, and what vehicle drives them to be who they really are. By implementing internal coaching and audits from outside the company, the Paysafe team has introduced a network of D&I heroes.

Community Assistance

Helping the community at large was also a very important socially responsible initiative (CSR) to assist charities such as Cystic Fibrosis Canada, Fondation En Coeur, Autism Canada and UNICEF which are 4 out of the 15 charities who were the recipients of the program.

Prior to the big Gold Stevie win, Paysafe had received 3 Career Show awards for ‘Best Career Development Program’, ‘Best Recruitment Innovation’, as well as ‘Best Employer’ in the country. This award ceremony took place in Sofia, Bulgaria, on the 10th of September 2019.

Nick Walker, the Chief Human Resources Officer from the Paysafe Group, said how delighted he was with the honour that the Canadian HR team received at the Stevie Awards. He also said that the category for benefit was at the heart of the employer experience. He went on the say that it was their priority to ensure Paysafe was “an exceptional company” and he was so impressed that two of his global HR teams received recognition in the previous two week period.
